[Oasis Tarpaulin Factory] Method of covering and folding wagon tarpaulin

1 Scope

This technical specification specifies the requirements for the operation of D type tarpaulin covering, folding and packaging of freight cars.

2 Cover

2.1 Basic requirements

1) The gondola with cargo loading height more than 1m above the end side wall or with the escort shall not be covered with tarpaulin.

2) Tarpaulin and tarpaulin rope net shall not be used as cargo reinforcement materials.

3) Goods to be reinforced must be bundled and reinforced before covering with tarpaulin.

4) There is no residue of old rope ends, iron wires and other wastes on the truck rope hitch.

5) When the loading height of the goods is lower than the side wall at the end of the vehicle, the tarpaulin support can be placed. Anti abrasion measures shall be taken at the contact between the protruding part of the support and the tarpaulin.

6) If the tarpaulin is easily damaged by the tarpaulin, wear prevention or protective measures shall be taken between the tarpaulin and the goods.

2.2 Quality inspection before covering

The cloth body is complete without damage, the eye rims are intact, and the marks and numbers are complete and clear. The ropes shall be complete, complete, without joints, firmly inserted and correctly connected with the tarpaulin.

2.3 Cover method

2.3.1 Cover the front (waist rope outward) longitudinally. The tarpaulin sagging height on both sides of the truck shall be consistent. The tarpaulin at one end of the truck manual brake hangs down to cover the end wall with a height of 300mm~500mm, and the tarpaulin at the other end hangs down to cover the end wall with a height of about 600mm.

2.3.2 Each vehicle shall be covered with a tarpaulin. If the vehicle is short, the surplus part of the tarpaulin can be folded under the tarpaulin at two adjacent waist ropes in the middle, and the two waist ropes of the folded part can be tightened and fastened diagonally.

2.3.3 Tighten the angle rope of the tarpaulin to make the angle of the tarpaulin expand into a triangle to the inside. After the two sides of the angle are flattened, turn it to the truck end wall. Tightly wrap the angle at both ends of the vehicle to make the pressure rope press the angle.

2.3.4 The tarpaulin shall be bundled as follows:

1) The tarpaulin rope shall be tied to the truck rope and shall not be tied to other parts.

2) The tarpaulin angle ropes at both ends of the truck cross along the truck end wall and are respectively tied to the two ropes at the end of the vehicle. When the angle rope passes through the brake platform of the truck manual brake, it shall pass over it; When passing through the brake rod and hook lifting rod, it shall pass through the inner side.

3) The two end ropes in the middle of the tarpaulin at both ends of the truck shall be vertically pulled down and fastened to the two rope ties at the end of the vehicle. When passing the hook bar, they shall also pass through the inside.

4) The pressing rope at each end of the tarpaulin shall press the corner of the tarpaulin and tighten it to make the tarpaulin cling to the end wall of the vehicle. It shall be tied to one of the di ropes at the side of the vehicle, and shall not be tied to the traction hook.

5) The waist rope shall be pulled and tied on the side rope. The stretch length of the elastic part of the elastic rope shall not be less than 200mm, which shall be determined according to the loading conditions. If there is a rope hitch in the middle of the vehicle, the waist rope in the middle is tied to the rope hitch in the middle of the vehicle; If there is no tether in the middle of the vehicle, the waist rope in the middle of the tarpaulin shall be tied to the tether near the middle of the vehicle. Other waist ropes, starting from both ends of the vehicle and facing the middle of the vehicle, shall be bound on the corresponding ropes in sequence. When the elastic rod is not close to the eye socket, the elastic rope shall be put away from the middle, and the surplus rope in the middle shall be folded and tied with two dead knots. After that, the remaining tail shall be tied with a rope clamp or twine for 5 turns and tightly tied with its own rope rod.

6) The tarpaulin rope shall be tied with the bow knot method or the back twist knot method. The rope head after being tied shall be wound on its own rope pole, and at least two dead knots shall be tied. The remaining tail length of rope head shall not exceed 300mm and not be less than 100mm.

7) The tarpaulin shall not be bound with other ropes except the rope and tarpaulin rope net provided by the tarpaulin.

2.3.5 When covering the tarpaulin rope net, the net shall be properly covered, the mesh shall be fully opened, and it shall be closely attached to the tarpaulin. First tie the tarpaulin from both sides of the vehicle, so that the tarpaulin rope net completely covers the tarpaulin. After zui, tie the tie points at both ends of the vehicle. The binding of tarpaulin rope net and truck shall be handled according to the binding requirements of tarpaulin and truck.

2.3.6 The tarpaulin rope and the remaining end of the tarpaulin rope net tether must be reinforced with rope clips. When in use, pull the knotted rope tail tightly against its own rope rod. The marked surface and tooth surface of the rope clamp head face outward, 50 mm from the rope tail. Pass the lock rope around the rope tail and rope rod and then pass it out from the bottom of the lock rope slot upward, and pull it tight along the direction of the lock rope slot. Engage the lock tooth at the rope clamp end with the tooth on the pressure block. At this time, the rope clamp enters the locking working state. When opening, pull the lock rope along the opposite direction of the slot with force, and the rope head is damaged along the fracture groove, so the rope clip can be opened.

2.4 Inspection after covering

1) The tarpaulin cover shall be flat, the goods shall not be exposed, the corners at both ends shall be close, and the lines at both sides shall be smooth. All parts shall not exceed the limit.

2) The knotting and binding position of the rope shall be correct, and the knot shall be firm without looseness and falling off. The rope tied on the rope hitch shall be butterfly shaped, and the remaining tail length of the rope head shall be 100~300mm.

3) The tarpaulin at one end of the truck's manual brake hangs down to cover the end plate with a length of 300mm~500mm. The brake disc of freight car manual brake is exposed, which will not affect the use of manual brake and hook lifting rod. The sagging height of the other end is about 600mm. If the tarpaulin is too long, it can exceed this limit, but it shall not affect the use of the pressing rope.

4) The tarpaulin sagging height on both sides of the vehicle is consistent.

5) After the tarpaulin (including tarpaulin rope net) is covered, the loading unit shall take a photo of the tarpaulin covering status on both sides of the vehicle (including the tarpaulin number) and at both ends of the vehicle for 3 months.

3 Folding and packaging

3.1 The front of the tarpaulin shall be spread flat upward, with two end ropes reserved, and the two sides of the tarpaulin in the length direction shall be folded to the longitudinal center line of the tarpaulin.

3.2 Divide the folded two sides into three equal parts and fold them twice towards the center line.

3.3 Fold the horizontal center line of the tarpaulin on both sides of the width direction of the tarpaulin, and then fold the tarpaulin in the middle for three consecutive times before compaction.

3.4 The number and small road emblem on the tarpaulin shall be completely and clearly exposed after folding, and the overall dimension is about 1000mm × 600mm × 300mm。

3.5 Bundle with reserved rope, bind cross on both sides, tighten and bind firmly without looseness; The rope buckle shall not fall off, and the rope head shall be plugged.
